An Awesome Resource

An Awesome Resource

While working with a client recently, I discovered a gem of a resource that they use and I was pretty blown away when I started interacting with them.  It takes a lot to impress me, and even more for me to recommend someone to my peeps, so I had a “sit down” with them, in order to find out all about them, and then, after they impressed the hell out of me, to see if I could get a special deal for you guys. (Hint – I did!)

So they’re called Ruby Receptionists and they provide an amazing service.

Say you’re a one-person show and:

  • You really need to give prospective clients a phone number, but you can’t man your cell phone all day.
  • You don’t want prospective clients going to a voice mailbox, you want them to talk to a real person.
  • You can’t or don’t want to hire staff to man the phones, but you do want people who call to get someone live and in person.

That’s where Ruby comes in.  They give you a toll free number (good for North America).  They answer the calls that come into that number, in the way that you ask them to.  (Good morning, Massini-Ryan Services, how can I help you?)  Their coverage is 13 hrs a day, 5 days a week.

What you do is let them know your availability and when they get a call, they’ll answer and ask the person to hold a moment while they transfer them to you, they’ll call you and tell you who is calling and why.  Now you’re ready for the call – you know who they are and why they’re calling – Ruby transfers the call over to you.  Sounds a lot more professional than trying to answer your cell in the middle of doing five things at once, and not knowing who it is or what they need.

If you’d rather not take the call, you just tell the lovely person from Ruby that you can’t take the call right now and they will take a message for you.  They’ll send an audio file and a transcript by email, as well as send you a text if you’d like.

You can even let them know when you’re not available to take calls and they won’t bother calling you to transfer a call to you – they’ll take a message.  They’ve even got an app to make it easier to update your availability, access your messages, etc.

Ruby has impressed the hell out of me, so I wanted to let you guys know about them.  I’ve worked it out with them that people I refer get the $95 activation fee waived.  You’re welcome.  🙂  And yes, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that they do give me a small token in appreciation, but you’re getting a crazy deal.  Just use any of the links in this post.

Oh!  And the reason I wanted to get it out there now is because they’re running a special promotion for March – $100 off your first month of service for anyone who signs up for their 21-day money back guarantee this month.  In addition to the waiving of the $95 activation fee because you’re a friend of mine.  Pretty sweet deal.

I hope this can help some of you, and if I run across any other awesome deals, I’ll be sure to let you know.  This is a great tool for those of you need a receptionist, but can’t hire someone full time.

Cheers!  🍷
